2008 ford f-150 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. With the segment's only rear-hinged side access doors, the regular cab gives excellent recline space and an easy reach to everything dropped behind the seat. At the other end of the scale, premium models include two-tone leather seats, polished 22-inch wheels and other touches: within those extremes lies something for everyone.  2008 marks the first availability of an xl-grade supercrew with 5. 5- or 6. 5-foot bed: maximum people space with a work truck ethic. Detail changes for 2008 run the gamut from functional to decorative, the latter a wheels and stripes package for stx models, the former a standard tachometer for xl and stx with manual transmission, tire pressure monitors on the heavy-duty package, plus the availability of a cargo management system, remote start, telescoping towing mirrors, and a rearview camera (that does not require purchase of a navigation system).  with one of the deepest beds in the half-ton pickup segment, the f-150 has generous cargo volume out back and a maximum payload rating of 3,050 pounds. A foose edition f-150 designed by hot-rod master chip foose will be available as a late-2008 model. The base f-150 xl 17,345) is a short, regular cab two-wheel drive. Wheels are steel, the grille is black and bumpers painted, vinyl covers the floor and seats, and the audio is am/fm. However, it does have intermittent wipers, map lights, a 40/20/40 split bench front seat with driver lumbar adjustment, and on supercabs 23,440) air conditioning. Hefty rubber mats protect the carpet; other upgrades include a leather-wrapped wheel, unique instrument display, and sport cloth upholstery with driver and passenger lumbar support. Monotone paint includes the bumpers (gray with tow-tone paint), flares cover 18-inch aluminum wheels, and the door gets keypad entry. On regular cabs 24,105-30,645) the fx4 is $5,750 over the fx2 and there's no long-wheelbase fx4; on supercab and supercrew 28,700-35,445), the 4wd version is a $3,295 premium.  the lariat label is reserved for more luxurious, car-like interiors, and does not include regular cab or flareside models; retail prices range from $29,895-$35,595. Fancy bits include 18-inch aluminum wheels, power heated mirrors with signal repeaters, climate control, leather-trimmed seats and steering wheel, powered driver's seat, trip computer, light-faced gauges, and chrome and arizona beige trim.  for 2008, ford will build 5,000 lariat limited f-150s, replete with serial-number plates, spun-metal instrument cluster trim, two-tone leather cabin, color-matched grille and bumpers, and three-dimensional chrome bed side badging. Limited models are offered only as 139-inch wheelbase supercrews in two- 35,160) or all-wheel drive 38,160).  top tier among regular production models is the king ranch, with castano leather modeled after the saddles that roamed the texas ranch. Exterior trim is similar to lariats, with color-matching components and arizona beige accents. At this level, items such as heated power seats and power-folding mirrors are standard. And the 2008 ford f-150 shows the evolution of 70 years of function. Angular means easy to clean, easy to park and gives maximum inside volume for outside space. The f-150 is easily recognized in any trim level by the circular front lights within a rectangular housing, stepped front window ledge, opening rear doors on the regular cab, and the tall bed. For 2008, extendable dual-element towing mirrors bring the f-150 in line with the bigger super duty pickups, as well as the ram, titan, and tundra. Any cosmetic sacrifice is well worth the extra visibility with a trailer behind.  pillars between the doors may yield a blind spot for those who sit more rearward and everyone should appreciate the windshield pillar designed to help preserve forward vision. The flareside really is more stylish than the styleside bed, that which is essentially a box with some character lines in the sheetmetal, and more space within. The chrome harley badges are a bit much for some of us, but it drew many admiring looks. interiorford has all bases covered inside the f-150, with plenty of patterns, textures and finishes, including at least three different gauges clusters, and the choice of a 40/20/40 split-bench front seat or captain's chairs in many models. Captain's chairs on fx and lariat models, especially with power adjustment and the optional adjustable pedals, provide good driver positioning for virtually everyone. Finding it may take some time because the backrest angle adjustment is manual and the power controls are on the side of the seat with the door very close.

Titled as a 1941 oldsmobile the 350 runs great plenty of power. The 350 automatic tranny shifts like it should. Car runs drives stops it is street legal the wiper holders are there but no wiper blades the holders there make it legal. Some cracks and spider webs in the glass please ask for more pictures. No speedometer in this car but any smart phone can be used as a speedometer with the correct app. Interior is partly done there are holes in the floor boards cut hols not rust holes. Please ask for more pictures before bidding this car is road ready but like any creation it will and does need attention is some areas.

Denali luxury now with crew cab room. introductionthe gmc sierra is nearly identical to the chevy silverado but features more mature, restrained styling. With their 5-foot, 8-inch cargo box, sierra crew cabs are no longer than standard-bed, extended-cab models for easier parking and maneuverability. The 1500hd crew cab, which returns for 2005 after a one-year hiatus, can tow up to 10,200 pounds. Even the plush denali tows 8,100 pounds.  yet all sierras deliver a smooth, comfortable ride among the full-size pickups. Even compared to more recently introduced or re-engineered pickups from ford, dodge, and nissan, the sierra rides and handles very well. Although nominally classified as light duty or 'half-ton' trucks, the 1500s offer payloads ranging from 1,215 to 2,040 pounds, and tow ratings from 4,100 up to 9,000 pounds, depending on equipment. That's all the truck most consumers will ever need.  engine choices include a 4. 3-liter v6, 4. 8-liter v8, and 5. 3-liter v8. There have been numerous things done since the build , the car has been in renegade magazine , twice , and the photog was by to take more pics a couple weeks ago , it was also in the rod authority , online magazine , as well as in my id10t prototype follow up video , there is a video on resurrected rust , gary fisher's page , as well as a video on my, joe rooney , facebook page , of the car racing in 500 foot drags at red lodge airport , ( did 51mph in 500 feet) , this has only missed winning hardware( trophies) in a couple shows it has been entered in , many first places , and a couple co first , and a couple second place trophies ., i tore the top end down last summer and the cylinders were in fantastic shape , the cross hatching was still visible , and there was zero ridge on the cylinders , i only tore it down due to the fact that it had a couple broken head studs , i wanted to fix before it had head gasket seepage , the radiator is on the back of the car , and is fed through 20 feet of 2inch piping . The improvement one could make would be to put a higher volume water pump somewhere in the system , flathead v12s , and flathead v8s , are prone , by design to run warm , as the exhaust flows directly through the water jacket , on the radiator is mounted a high volume electric cooling fan , on a 66 shelby radiator . The overdrive solenoid was cracked during loading on the trailer , ( i never had it hooked up anyway) it is the stock 47 lincoln transmission and works fine , with the rat fink type shifter sticking up through the roof about 8 inches above the roofline , with an old bloodshot eyeball shift knob topping it off. This thing has welded spider webs everywhere , the running boards are made out of larger rolled steel and the smaller ones that are throughout the whole rig are made out of the u shaped wire stands that were originally meant to hold up political signs , this drives great , and turns fine , and i used the original 27 hudson steering wheel height adjustment steps , and added a little engineering , to make 1927 hudson "tilt" steering . Only about $5000 out of pocket , i had everything else at my shops. 2008 chrysler pt cruiser review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Retrowagon, and gangster convertible. introductionthe chrysler pt cruiser combines the retro look of late-'30s american iron with modern performance, efficiency and features. The pt cruiser comes in two body styles, a versatile five-door wagon and a not-so-versatile two-door convertible.  the five-door model's tall body boasts lots of room for people and cargo. In fact, its interior volume and versatility compare well to a small suv. Yet the pt cruiser is small and easy to park.  it's also easy on gas. The lower-level models are competitively priced, and we think they make the most sense.  the pt cruiser convertible is one of the least expensive convertibles on the market. Its trunk is tiny and awkward, however; in fact, we can't think of a trunk that's less convenient than the one on the cruiser convertible.  the pt cruiser doesn't fit within existing automotive marketing segments, but competes on some levels with the chevy hhr, the scion xb, and the mini cooper. Like them, it is essentially a car: the pt cruiser is based on the dodge neon, a compact car noted for sprightly performance. So it drives like a car, though the handling is not as good. Cruiser is an appropriate name.  chrysler has dropped the high-performance gt models for 2008. Frankly, we thought they were over-priced and favored the standard model that is still available.  new for 2008, a tire-pressure monitor and front side air bags are now standard on all models and the base wagon is now called lx. The 2008 limited model now has 17-inch wheels, the 2. 4-liter turbocharged engine, abs and traction control as standard equipment. lineupthe 2008 chrysler pt cruiser comes in two body styles: a five-door hatchback/wagon chrysler calls a sedan; and a two-door convertible. In all but the limited model the standard engine is tuned to deliver 150 horsepower. Many of the standard features on higher-line models are also available as options on the less expensive models.  safety features include dual front airbags; torso-protecting front side-impact airbags; and a tire-pressure monitor. The front belts have pyrotechnically charged tensioners, just like in luxury cars, to tighten the belts for the initial stages of an impact. The rear bench is equipped with child-seat tethers. Antilock brakes and traction control are standard on limited. They are also included with the optional turbocharged engine and are available as a $625 option for other models. walkaroundthe chrysler pt cruiser blends the retro look of a late-1930s or early 1940s american sedan with new-age styling cues such as dual-beam flush headlights and teardrop-shaped taillight lenses.  the look was refined beginning with the 2006 models, but not drastically changed. The horizontal-themed grille does not extend below the bumper as on older models and it's topped by a prominent chrysler eagle and flanked by gently scalloped headlamps. Round foglights frame a horizontal slot in the bumper. Around back, a body-color spoiler on the liftgate is said to improve aerodynamic efficiency.  exterior dimensions indicate the pt cruiser is quite compact. It's shorter in overall length than most compact sedans, but it's relatively tall. Measuring 63 inches from the pavement to the highest point of its roof, it's nearly as tall as a minivan. That height is a crucial element of the pt cruiser's design.  the design of the convertible is quite a bit different from that of the wagon. The convertible looks shorter than the wagon, but it isn't. Maybe it's the single long door on each side that creates this illusion. It's lower, however, by almost three inches, which certainly alters the looks. But there's a lot more to it than that: close examination reveals that the windshield is raked more radically and uses a different a-pillar design.  with the top up, the convertible looks like a custom chopped-top hot rod. And it looks pretty cool. Drop the top and the gangstermobile turns into a chick car. With its top down, the pt cruiser convertible's high tail and integrated sport bar remind us of the old volkswagen cabrio. But where the vw's side windows sealed against its sport bar, the chrysler's windows seal against each other for a more modern convertible profile. Its slightly narrower and color-keyed sport bar sits behind the windows, inside the car, and is aerodynamically designed to minimize wind noise. A nice boot is provided that dresses up the appearance with the top down. interiorthe chrysler pt cruiser pulls its exterior styling themes into the cabin, although here, too, the retro theme is tempered by a modern-looking center stack that visually splits the vintage-styled dashboard.  the driver faces three white-faced gauges set in individual cylinders, with speedometer center, tachometer right, and fuel and water temperature left. Accessory switches are concentrated in the center panel, with radial-type climate control dials at the bottom. Window switches are high in the center stack, inconvenient for quick operation, forcing the driver to search for them. The door levers have a nice action, and the switches operate with good tactile feel, though they're not world class. The standard stereo sounds tinny; we haven't tried the boston accoustics system. Also, there's a separate set button for the station presets. It's fussier than simply holding the preset down.  a bonus of the cruiser's tall profile is its upright seating position, with a fairly high view ahead, somewhat like a sport-utility vehicle or minivan. The front seats have a reasonable amount of bolstering to keep driver and passenger from sliding side to side. The pt's console also includes a covered tray for concealing small items, a storage bin that holds six cds, a coin holder and fold-out cupholders for rear-seat coffee consumers.  roominess is a virtue in the cruiser. The wagon's 120. 5 cubic feet of interior volume is comparable to that of large cars such as the mercedes-benz s-class or lincoln town car, though it certainly doesn't have the ambience of those cars. Much of that space is a function of the cruiser's height.  to take advantage of this, the rear seat bottoms are higher than those in front. This theater seating, as it's called, affords the back-seat passengers a better view forward. Rear passengers also can stretch their legs underneath the front seats, which are mounted on tall boxes. A 6-foot, 9-inch passenger can fit comfortably in the front or rear seats.  the cabin of the pt cruiser wagon can be configured 26 different ways. This flexibility stems from three features: a 65/35 split rear bench that can be folded flat, tumbled forward or removed, a movable parcel shelf in t.
